Heather Cook Taylor
Teaches ballet and contemporary classes at Dance With Mitzi. Trained at the NC School of the Arts, Boston Ballet School,
and the Pennsylvania School of Ballet. Performed and trained in Rome and Spoleto, then returned to NC to teach and
perform as a soloist with the Charlotte City Ballet. Attended college at UNC Charlotte, UNC Chapel Hill, and East Carolina University,
graduating with a degree in Physical Therapy. She is currently employed by Surry Community College as instructor and co-administrator
of the Physical Therapist Asst. Program, and also works for Yadkin Valley Home Health. She is also a studio mom!
Lindsey Haynes Hall
A student at DWM for 16 years and a company member for eight of those years. She is a graduate
of Appalachian State University with a degree in Dance Studies. She has taken many Master classes at conventions, New York
City at Braodway Dance Center, and while in college. A few master instructors include Mia Michaels, Gill Stroming, and Jason
Piper. She performed in multiple dance showcases while attending Appalachian State. She was in the first group to perform
at Disney World and her choreography could be seen on stage the last time DWM was at Disney. She has been teaching at DWM for
four years and choreographing solos and small group dances since she was in high school. She currently teaches Jazz, Tap, Contemporary,
and co-choreographs for the Jazz/Lyrical Company. She enjoys sharing her passion for dance with the DWM family.
Luke Miller was born in Boonville, NC and currently resides in Brooklyn, NY. His first choreography projects were
for the Forbush High School theatre department while he was a student. He then worked as an assistant choreographer for different
hish school theatre departments, and Elkin Community Theatre. In 2010, he signed with Elevate, a national production company
based out of Raleigh, NC. His first teaching job was at the Academy for the Performing Arts, a competitive dance studio in Apex,
NC. He worked there for 4 years where he taught all ages of students from 2 to 18, as well as choreographed for styles such
as hip-hop, tap, and jazz. He has won several choreography awards as multiple dance competitions, and through the International
Championship of Collegiate Acappella circuit as well. Recently he has been choreographing musicals for the Yadkin Arts Council,
which has landed him his newest position: Head of Movement Studies for the Willingham Performing Arts Academy. He is beyond
excited to be joining the Dance with Mitzi family and can't wait to bring a new creative influence to his beloved home town.
